Write at least one substantive research paper that effectively incorporates secondary sources.
Conduct independent research (finding examples of the linguistic phenomena examined in the course, applying analytical diagrams, comparing linguistic phenomena in various languages, using various instruments of linguistic analysis) and identify the most significant databases of francophone linguistic research.
Identify the fundamental elements of French linguistics (basic terms and concepts of phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, lexicology, and semantics)
Evaluate and appreciate francophone diversity.
