Course Outcomes: 

Understanding expressions of human experience in literature

Students will demonstrate their understanding of the human aspects of early modern Japanese literature orally and in writing. A writing sample will be included in individual student portfolio.

Understand key works and genres in early modern literature

Students will demonstrate their understanding of key literary works and genres in early modern Japanese literature in verbal and written forms.
